Turkey introduced an import duty on sunflower oil
The Turkish government has introduced a 10% import duty on sunflower oil.
The presidential decree amending the decision on the import regime came into force after being published in the Official Gazette, writes CNN Turk.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirishi explained that the rate was raised from 0% to 10% in order to support farmers during the sunflower harvest in Turkey and ensure domestic processing.
