Turkey can help unblock Mykolaiv region’s ports, Zelenskyy hopes
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that Turkey would help unblock the ports of Mykolaiv region at the diplomatic level to expand the grain corridor. He made the statement on February 25 at a press conference during the Ukraine. Year 2024″.

However, he emphasized that Ukraine is not looking for alternatives to the routes that are already in place.
Zelenskyy is convinced that Turkish President Recep Erdogan can help Ukraine open a port in Mykolaiv to ship Ukrainian grain.
“We talked about opening the sea. Mykolaiv region is also very important for us. And now I know that Turkey has discussed with UN Secretary General Guterres the possibility of free navigation, shipping in the Black Sea. We are ready for such a conversation,” Zelenskyy said.
The president expressed hope that this issue could be resolved at the first inaugural Peace Summit and expects Turkish President Recep Erdogan to attend the summit.
