Transshipment of vegetable oils is planned to be launched in Orlivka on the Danube
As part of the development of a new private port on the Danube near the Orlivka-Isaccea ferry crossing, it is planned to organize the transshipment of vegetable oil.
Yuriy Dimchoglo, one of the investors and initiators of the port, told this in an interview with CFTS.
According to him, grain is the main type of cargo now. Since March, general cargo has also been transshipped. An agreement was signed with a company for transshipment of fertilizers in big bags, and the first vessel with this cargo has already entered the port.
A vessel with broom in rolls is expected to arrive soon.
“We also plan to organize transshipment of vegetable oil. We are currently negotiating the purchase of pumps for direct transshipment of oil from tankers to ships,” said Dimchoglo.
In addition, according to him, two warehouses will be built at the terminal in Orlivka in the near future.
“So far, we have no warehouses, so transshipment is carried out directly from trucks to barges or vice versa. To solve this problem, this month we started construction of two warehouses to store up to 15 thousand tons of cargo. We plan to put the warehouses into operation in May,” explained the businessman.
