548 KMT of wheat was exported from Kazakhstan in October. This is by 28% higher compared to September and by 16% more than in October 2020/21. This season’s exports had totaled 975 KMT (-11% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.

Uzbekistan stepped up purchases in October, therefore the lag behind last year reduced to 28%.

Traditional importers show a y-o-y decrease in demand: Tajikistan (-21%), Afghanistan (-42%), China -90%).

The following countries boosted wheat purchases from Kazakhstan compared to last season: Turkmenistan (up 33 times), Turkey (up 17 times) and the EU (up 4 times).

Last year, Iran only started buying Kazakh wheat from December, but it already purchased some 126 KMT during the first two months of this season.
