There are currently no agreements between Ukraine, Turkey and Russia to unblock Ukrainian ports. Decisions on this issue must be made with the participation of all parties involved, and any agreements that do not take into account Ukraine’s interests will be rejected.

This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

It is noted that Ukraine is making every effort to unblock Ukrainian seaports in order to prevent a global food crisis. In particular, together with the UN and other partners, the possibility of creating a humanitarian corridor for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products is being considered.

“Given Russia’s recent missile strike on a grain terminal in Mykolayiv, we cannot rule out Russia’s plans to use such a corridor to attack Odessa and southern Ukraine. That is why effective security guarantees are needed to restore shipping. Such guarantees should be provided by supplying Ukraine with appropriate weapons to protect the coast from threats from the sea and by involving naval forces of third countries to patrol the relevant part of the Black Sea,” the statement said.
