The export of grain through the “grain corridor” can reach at least 6 million tons per month, provided there are no delays in vessel inspections.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov in an interview with LIGA.net.

According to him, joint inspections have resumed. All four parties participate in the inspection.

“But they are planned now, on average, only 12 per day, of which 8-9 are actually completed. At the same time, the need is 25-30 per day. We continue to communicate with partners about increasing the number of inspections,” stressed the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure.

It is clarified that according to the latest data of the SCC, as of November 7, 88 vessels are waiting for permission to enter Ukrainian ports, and 18 loaded vessels are preparing for inspection in Turkish territorial waters.

“If the inspections worked without delays, there would be at least 6 million tons per month – this is a real indicator that the corridor can provide,” noted Yuriy Vaskov.

But he added that Ukraine is still waiting for confirmation from the leadership of the UN and Turkey regarding the extension of the agreement for the next term.

It will be recalled that Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced his intention to offer to extend the “grain agreement” for another year.
