The US will allocate almost $700 million for the development of transport and logistics in Ukraine
The United States plans to provide nearly $700 million for the development of export logistics and transportation. This was announced on his Facebook page by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development.
The issue was raised during the first visit to Ukraine by U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker.
Mr. Kubrakov shared his plans to develop export logistics and transportation.
“We have to modernize Ukrainian checkpoints, ports and railways. This will improve logistics and increase export capacity. The United States plans to provide almost $700 million for this purpose,” the official emphasized.
In addition, they discussed demining and the development of the agricultural sector.
“A joint working group has already been established to develop a model of cooperation to move to the implementation of specific projects. I am ready to discuss every cent of American aid and investment. I am confident that accountability and transparency of processes will motivate the private sector to join large-scale reconstruction processes,” said Kubrakov.
