The representative of the UN Secretary General commented on the results of the “Grain from Ukraine” summit
The sea corridor for the export of grain, organized by Ukraine, has a positive effect on world markets, but they need not only an increase in the volume of supplies, but also stability. This was stated by the spokesman of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric, commenting on the results of the “Grain from Ukraine” summit.
“Our goal is clear, it was also expressed by the general secretary – that more grain and fertilizers will quickly and freely enter the market, the better for the world as a whole,” said Dujarric.
“We know,” he added, “that there is an export route across the Black Sea organized by the Ukrainians, and that helps. But, I think, world markets need not only larger volumes, but also stability.”
As reported, on November 25, the second summit of the Ukrainian humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine took place in Kyiv under the auspices of Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
As a result of the summit, a joint statement was adopted, which was supported by 23 countries.
On behalf of the United Nations, Rebecca Greenspan, Secretary General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, participated in the forum.
