The rate of export of Polish grain outside the EU increased by 70%

Data from the European Commission show that in the 16 weeks of the current season (which began in July 2022), Poland sent 1.055 million tons of grain outside the European Union, compared to 624.13 thousand tons in the same period of the 2021/22 season. This means an increase in export rates by almost 70% per year, reports Agroprofil.

Wheat dominates exports this season. Since the beginning of the season, 952.92 thousand tons of it have been sold, compared to 509.01 thousand tons in the first 16 weeks of the 2021/22 season. Currently, wheat accounts for 91% of supplies outside the EU. Another 5% is corn (50.93 thousand tons). Also a significant article of export is malt in grain equivalent – 40.58 thousand tons (4%).
