Without the participation of Russia, the agreement on the provision of a “grain corridor” for the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports is unlikely to be implemented.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmytro Peskov, commenting on Turkey’s statements about the intention to continue the implementation of the “grain agreement” without the participation of Russia, Interfax reports.

“Under the conditions when Russia talks about the impossibility of guaranteeing shipping in the specified areas, such an agreement is unlikely to be implemented, and it takes on a different character: much more risky, dangerous and unguaranteed,” said the spokesperson of Krreml.

Peskov was also asked to comment on how the Kremlin generally views Turkey’s intentions to continue implementing the “grain agreement” without Russia’s participation.

“Contacts with the Turkish side, as well as with the UN, continue through diplomatic and other agencies,” he said.

As reported earlier, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stated that he supports the continuation of agreements on unblocking the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports, despite Russia’s decision to suspend its participation in this agreement.

We will remind, on October 29, Russia suspended its participation in the implementation of the agreement regarding the export of grain from the ports of Ukraine. After that, Ukraine forcibly suspended the export of grain by sea.

However, on Sunday, the UN, Turkey and Ukraine agreed on a plan to relocate 16 vessels in Turkish waters on October 31. And on Monday, October 31, 12 ships with 354.5 thousand tons of agricultural products left the ports of “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk” and “Pivdennyi” for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe.
