Poland has until May 2 to lift the ban on imports of several dozen food products from Ukraine to replace it with the EU’s decision to embargo four products.

This was reported by the Polish media outlet  RMF24, citing its sources in Brussels.

“These are the agreements between the five countries and the European Commission,” the publication says.

Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia have confirmed that they will cancel national measures as soon as possible. The European Commission is now waiting for specific decisions on this matter. The point is to avoid parallel application of bans, RMF24 reports.

According to the publication, oil and other agricultural products will be subject to investigation, and if problems are found in the market, tariffs may be imposed.

Farmers from five countries will also receive support in the amount of EUR 100 million, of which Polish farmers will receive almost EUR 40 million.
