Soybean harvesting and winter wheat sowing are nearing completion in the US

By November 5, the soybean harvest in the U.S. was harvested from 91% of the area (93% at the same date last year and 86% on average over the past five years), according to the report of the National Agricultural Statistics Service under the USDA (NASS USDA).

According to the forecasts of the USDA, in the current season the gross harvest of soybeans will decrease to 111.7 mln tonnes, down 4% compared to the previous season and 2% compared to the five-year average. The USDA estimates the export potential of soybeans at 47.8 mln tons, down 12% from last season.

Wheat sowing was carried out on 90% (91% and 89%) of the planned area. The condition of the crops is better than last year. 50% of the crops are in good to excellent condition, up 20% year-on-year.

Corn harvesting has been completed on 81% (85% and 77%) of the areas.
