The sowing campaign has already started in 20 regions of Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said this in a video address.

“Sowing has already started in 20 regions of Ukraine. This is really positive news, because at the same time last year sowing began in only 15 regions, “Shmygal said.

According to him, the authorities are cautiously optimistic about the area under spring crops. According to available data, sowing can be carried out on 6 million hectares of land. This is 80% of the area sown last year.

“Today, our farmers are no less courageous and loyal to their front. Behind them is the future food security of the country and the world. We thank them for their courage and dedication to their work, “Shmygal said.

The shelling of the enemy hit the sowing campaign in Ukraine. The enemy’s intentions to cause a humanitarian catastrophe have already been announced by the government. However, local farmers are confident that the Russians will not succeed and there will be bread in Ukraine.

The head of government added that thanks to the state order for social products, the food industry will expand new capacities and hire new workers. We are talking about 300 such enterprises.

“Let me remind you that the state buys 10 million food kits for Ukrainians who are in frontline cities, and then distribute them to people for free. These are sets of more than 10 key products, “he said.

According to him, now 100% of cereals, pasta, oil, milk and sugar have been purchased. Procurement of canned food, grain, bakery products, tea and coffee and other food also continues.

Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrposhta, together with VCA, are already delivering and distributing all these kits to people.

As reported, Russian President Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops are shelling and destroying infrastructure, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, rocket-propelled grenades and ballistic missiles.
