South Korean importers have signed a major wheat contract
According to market operators, South Korean flour producers held a successful bidding process, concluding a contract for the purchase of 172.3 thousand tons of wheat FOB in the United States, Canada and Australia.
Bidding details indicate that the following wheat shipments were contracted in the tender: 85,900 tons from the US from operator CHS at prices ranging from $231.48 to $290.17 per ton (depending on grain quality), 50,000 tons from Australia from operator Cargill at $280 per ton, and 36,400 tons from Canada from operator Paterson Grain at $280 per ton.
Delivery of these grain products to the importer is scheduled for May-June this year.
