Saudi Arabia to open market for beef and lamb from Ukraine

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has agreed with the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to remove technical obstacles to expanding food exports, namely beef and lamb, from Ukraine to the KSA.

This is stated in the report of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection on the results of the negotiations.

“Regarding the increase in beef exports to the KSA, the parties agreed that the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection will receive additional application forms from the SFDA for Ukrainian enterprises to fill out for their accreditation. In the near future, these forms will be published on the official web portal of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection,” the statement said.

Also, the lamb market for export from Ukraine to the KSA will soon be opened – the procedure for agreeing on a bilateral form of veterinary certificate is underway between the countries.
