Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports will slow down grain exports, other routes need to be improved, – Romanian President Iohannis

Russia’s attacks on Odesa region’s port infrastructure will significantly affect grain exports. Other routes need to be improved. This was stated by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis during the Three Seas Initiative summit in Bucharest, Reuters reports.

“Of course, attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube are a huge problem. This will slow down exports to some extent… We will expand other routes, we have accepted Ukrainian shipping through our Romanian territorial waters near the Black Sea, we will continue to increase exports by rail and road,” Johannis said.

Earlier, Croatia confirmed its readiness to provide ports on the Danube and in the Adriatic Sea for the transportation of Ukrainian grain.
