In 2024, Russia plans to supply up to 70 million tons of grain abroad.

This was stated by the head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at a meeting with Putin, Interfax reports.

According to the minister, last year, out of the total agricultural exports of $43.5 billion, wheat, corn and barley accounted for the majority of the total volume.

“Moreover, we continue to hold the first place in the world in wheat trade. Russia is the main supplier of this crop to such countries as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India and China. And even despite the significant decline in world prices, our revenues from agricultural exports continue to grow,” Patrushev said.

At the Grain Forum in Dubai, Russian First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut said that in 2023, Russia exported 66 million tons of grain, including 51 million tons of wheat.
