Russia increases grain export quotas in 2023/24 MY
The Russian government has set an additional part of the quota for grain exports outside the Eurasian Economic Union for 2023/24 MY. This was reported by the government press service.
The additional part of the quota for export of wheat, meslin, barley, rye and corn will amount to 5 mln tonnes and will be valid until June 30 this year.
“This measure is aimed at supporting agricultural producers. Given the record grain harvest in 2023 and sufficient supply of such products on the domestic market, farmers will be able to make additional deliveries of their products abroad,” the statement said.
As a reminder, Russia plans to export up to 70 mln tons of grain in 2024. In 2023, Russia exported 66 mln tons of grain, including 51 mln tons of wheat.
