Russia increases grain export quota by 5 million tons

The Russian government decree developed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation establishes a separate tariff quota for the export of wheat and meslin, rye, barley and corn to other states that are not members of the EEU, until June 30, 2024 in the amount of 5 million tons.

A separate tariff quota will be issued to participants of foreign trade activities in accordance with the Rules of distribution of an additional part of tariff quotas in an application procedure. You can apply for a quota through the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services. At the same time, the application form has changed.

Given the significant increase in the volume of the additional part of tariff quotas, the maximum allowable volume of the additional part of tariff quotas that can be received by one exporter has been raised from 45 to 70% of the amount of the main part previously granted to it, and for certain participants – up to 170%.

According to the resolution of the russian government of December 23, 2023, tariff quotas for the export of wheat and meslin, rye, barley and corn to other states that are not members of the EAEU from February 15 to June 30, 2024 were set at 24 million tons.
