Russia. Corn yield is higher than a year ago

Weather conditions. Very warm weather persisted in the Northwestern, Central and Volga federal districts on September 21-25. The average daily air temperature in the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts was nearly normal. At the same time, colder than usual weather was observed in the Siberian federal district.

Moisture supply. The west of the Northwestern federal district and the northwest of the Central federal district were exposed to heavy rainfall (at least 35-50 mm) that suspended fieldwork in some areas. The south received little precipitation (5-8 mm) that did not hinder fieldwork substantially. Minor precipitation (1-8 mm over the ten days) was registered in the Southern and North-Caucasian federal districts. In the Siberian district, crops had enough moisture.

Crop condition is good and fair, reports UkrAgroConsult.
