A deep-water berth has been launched at the Novorossiysk grain terminal of KSK Company. The terminal’s handling capacity is expected to increase to 7 MMT a year, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Russia’s deepest-water berth on the Black Sea was built specially for grain carrying vessels with tonnage of up to 100 KMT and maximum draft of up to 14.4 m. This will allow Russian grain exporters to open new promising markets in Southeast Asia and the Near East, which historically deal with heavy-tonnage vessels.

More detailed information on the latest trends in grain exports, supply and demand balances with breakdown by crop, price behavior, crop conditions and progress in harvesting/planting in the countries of Black Sea Region is available to subscribers for Online Analytics “Black Sea Grain” in the new innovative tool for agri market participants – AgriSupp by UkrAgroConsult.
