Romanian farmers completed sunseed harvest

Weather conditions. Air temperatures in Romania was at +10..+25°C, staying  2..4°C above long-term normals.

Moisture supply. Precipitation was seen all over the country (15-25 mm), except for the southeast.

Rain improved fall planting conditions, especially in the northern, northeastern and central regions. Severe soil drought is reported locally in the west (the Hungarian border) and southeast, which hinders normal crop development.

Farmers have completed sunseed harvest and are continuing to harvest corn, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Weather forecast for October 1-5: increased air temperatures are expected in the country (2..4°C above normal).

Effective precipitation will occur everywhere (25-50 mm; excessive 80 mm in the north and 100 mm locally in the west), except for the regions along the Bulgarian border. The conditions for fall planting keep improving.
