Romania. Temperatures remained above long-term normals
Weather conditions. Air temperatures in the south of Romania still remain above long-term normals (2..4°С). The mean daytime air temperature varied within +8..+22°С. Even +29..+31°C was registered in the south on October 3.
Moisture supply. Soil moisture deficit is observed in all of Romania’s farming regions, except for the northeast and small areas near the Danube Delta. Last week, effective precipitation was seen mostly in the northeast and southeast of the country (25 mm over the week). Severe soil drought persists in the northwest, west and south that is an unfavorable factor for development of winter crops.
Romanian farmers continue planting winter grain and oil crops, reports UkrAgroConsult.
