Romania. Rains promote the formation of high corn and sunflower yields

Weather conditions. Air temperatures in Romania were within long-term normal levels (+17..+29°C), locally 2..4°C above normal in the southeast.
On July 22-23, air temperatures in the regions bordering on Bulgaria reached +34..+35°С. However, this rise was of short duration.

Moisture supply. Precipitation occurred all over the country (25-65 mm). Precipitation rates in the central regions locally reached 80-100 mm, or as much as normally receive for several months.

Soil moisture content is adequate for growing spring crops, except for small areas in the southeast. Rain hampers the completion of winter wheat harvest, but promotes the formation of high corn and sunflower yields, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Precipitation on July 28 – August 4 will become less intensive, the focus of rains will be in the north (15-25 mm). Locally in the southeast (the border with Bulgaria), air temperature will reach +35..+37°C again that is unfavorable for spring crops.
