RISOIL plans to complete the double-sided berth construction as early as May, with construction progressing on schedule. Next season, the company expects to become one of the fastest and deepest export terminals in Ukraine, the co-owner and director of the group Shota Khajishvili stated in an interview with Latifundist.com.

He says the company aims to capture the niche of the deepest terminal in Ukraine. The terminal is expected to be 15m deep and to have the capacity to load a Panamax-class vessel within 24 hours.

“The double-sided berth will enable two 30,000 t Panamax vessels to be loaded simultaneously, or one 60,000 t vessel,” marks Shota Khajishvili.

The berth depth is designed to reach 18m. Once USPA approves further dredging, the terminal will be able to take in 120,000 t grain. The terminal’s capacity will provide for the loading of both oilseeds and grains. The installation of equipment at the berth is reported to be underway soon.

“We are in the process of developing a storage capacity of 120,000 t, which we plan to implement after the berth is commissioned. Everything is moving step by step,” he says.

Since 2016, RISOIL has expanded the terminal from 80,000 m³ to 300,000 m³ or 220,000 t of storage capacity.
