According to the BAGE exchange, the rains in Argentina had a favorable impact on the crops, the number of which in good or excellent condition increased by 26% to 69%. But in the state of Santa Fe, the intensity of precipitation can negatively affect the process of pollination and grain formation.

During the week, the country threshed another 10% of wheat crops, which was harvested on 65% of the area compared to 78% last year. However, prolonged rains may reduce the quality of the grain.

Corn sowing in the country is concentrated in areas with the least amount of moisture, mainly in the province of Cordoba. In the north-central areas of Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and the center of Buenos Aires, there is an excess of moisture, which delays sowing. Currently, the country has planted 58.6% of the planned area with corn, which is 6.7% higher than last year.
