Putin is expected to visit Turkey in the coming days to discuss the grain deal
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the coming days. This is reported by the Turkish edition of Milliyet.
This will be Putin’s first visit to a NATO member state since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the publication notes.
The article says that before the visit of the Kremlin leader, Turkey has intensified diplomatic efforts to resume the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
Turkey is conducting multilateral negotiations with interested countries in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Trade.
Earlier it was reported that the expected visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey could take place in late August or early September.
