Protests on the Ukrainian-Polish border are related to the European Parliament elections
The protest action by Polish farmers on the Ukrainian-Polish border, which began on June 4, is part of a pan-European protest. And it concerns, first of all, internal European policy.
This was stated by Acting Minister of Agriculture Taras Vysotsky.
According to him, the protests are related to the European Parliament elections. In particular, farmers are concerned about the EU’s Green Deal. In this way, they want to attract the attention of voters.
So, as the acting agriculture minister added, there is reason to hope that the action will be short-lived.
Taras Vysotsky added that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is constantly in touch with its Polish colleagues, as well as with Polish agricultural associations.
