Argentine weather forecasters expect the continuation of precipitation in the key oilseed and grain producing regions in the coming days, Reuters reports. The rains, which have been going on in the country since the first half of the month, should favorably affect the beginning of the soybean sowing campaign for the 2023/24 MY, as well as the development of corn crops.

“The rains coincide with the natural phenomenon of El Niño, which for Argentina means more precipitation in key agricultural areas after a dry winter,” the report said.

Rosario Exchange experts noted that only since November 14, 15-40 mm of precipitation has fallen in the northwestern regions of the country, and in the future it is expected to fall about 10-50 mm.

“In the coming days, the precipitation may continue, which will contribute to the development of major crops,” the experts said.
