Polish prime ministerial candidate talks about compromise with Ukraine on grain
Poland needs to find a compromise with Ukraine on the grain issue. On the one hand, it is necessary to ensure that Ukrainian grain does not threaten Polish farmers, and on the other hand, this solution would suit Ukraine.
This was stated by Donald Tusk, an opposition candidate for the post of Polish Prime Minister, after a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
“There is no doubt that we stand firm in our position that Ukrainian grain cannot pose a threat to Polish farmers. Madam President (of the European Commission – Ed.) understands very well that we need to find a solution that will be acceptable from the point of view of Ukraine, because we want to help Ukraine,” Tusk said.
He emphasized that in no case could the decision threaten the interests of Polish farmers.
