Polish farmers unblock the third checkpoint on the border with Ukraine

Polish protesters have temporarily suspended blocking truck traffic in both directions at the Uhryniv-Dolhobyczów checkpoint.

“The blocking of truck traffic in both directions at the Uhryniv-Dolhobyczów checkpoint has temporarily ended. According to information from our Polish colleagues, on the territory of Poland in front of the Uhryniv-Dolhobyczów checkpoint, the passage of freight transport is carried out in the usual mode,” the statement said.

It is noted that 120 trucks are waiting to cross the border here. At the same time, the Polish side also reported that the rhythmic passage of trucks is expected to last until April 2.

As reported, in the evening of March 21, Polish farmers suspended their protest at the Zosyn-Ustyluh border crossing point. The day before, they had stopped blocking truck traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing point. After that, as of March 28, the Yahodyn, Rava-Ruska, and Uhryniv checkpoints remained blocked.

As a reminder, on February 9, Polish farmers began blockading three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, and on February 12, the protests spread to two more checkpoints, including Zosyn-Ustyluh. On February 16, Polish farmers blocked the sixth checkpoint for the movement of goods.

On March 20-21, Polish protesters unblocked traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni and Zosyn-Ustyluh checkpoints.
