Polish farmers staged a large-scale protest in Warsaw
Today, on March 6, Polish farmers staged a large-scale protest in the capital Warsaw, demanding to cancel the Green Deal and limit food supplies from Ukraine. This was reported by Polsat News and RMF24.
It is noted that the farmers started the action at 11:00 in front of the Prime Minister’s office. This caused traffic to be hampered throughout the city.
According to media reports, the farmers were not allowed to enter Warsaw with tractors – barriers and spikes were installed to prevent them from entering the capital. Three-kilometer-long traffic jams formed on some entrances to the Polish capital. Some of the national roads were blocked.
Before the rally, there were also reports of incidents related to the massive presence of farmers in the capital. In particular, protesters set tires on fire in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. A coffin symbolizing Polish agriculture was also brought there.

“We are here to tell the Prime Minister about what hurts us, what he should know about. The Green Deal, everything connected with it, and the protection of Polish borders from the influx of uncontrolled products from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus .This is what hurts us…This Green Deal is the end for us all. If the government doesn’t protect us, we will be lost. Poland will disappear. We are all united together. In unity is strength, we will not allow farmers to be divided,” one of the protest leaders said during his speech, the publication reported.
