Polish farmers block part of the border with Ukraine
Polish protesters have again blocked the checkpoint on the Ukrainian border between Rava-Ruska and Hrebenne. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
The blockade of the border by the protesting farmers involves a complete halt to the movement of trucks traveling to Poland from Ukraine. The strikers announced that from 10:00 am on June 4 until the afternoon of June 6, Polish farmers plan to block the cargo area at the Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne checkpoint.
Ukrainian customs officials have confirmed that a complete stop of truck traffic leaving Ukraine is expected. If the entry to neighboring Poland is stopped completely, the Polish side will allow no more than 24 trucks to enter Ukraine per day. This includes two runs of 12 trucks each, as well as up to four trucks per hour with humanitarian supplies.
It should be noted that on April 29, the Poles unblocked the Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoint in the Lviv region. It was the last unblocked checkpoint in the region. A few days before that, truck traffic was resumed at the Medyka-Shehyni, Korchova-Krakivets checkpoint.
