On the evening of December 11, Polish carriers resumed blocking the Yagodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

According to the leader of the Polish protesters, Rafal Mekler, on Х (Twitter), a truck stopped on the road from the Polish side, which allegedly broke down.

“Unfortunately, the trailer blocked the road. It was standing there for too long,” Meckler wrote.

Later, police officers arrived and tried to clear the road. However, to no avail.

On the morning of December 12, Rafal Meckler wrote that the carriers “continue to fight.”

Earlier, Waldemar Jaszczur, chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Carriers and Transport Employers, told PAP that the carriers were not going to comply with the order of the mayor of Dorohusk to end the strike. The protesters have 7 days from Monday to appeal the decision in the district court in Lublin.

“This is a blow to us. We are outraged. We do not understand the decision of the mayor. We will definitely exercise our right to appeal this decision. We will demand detailed explanations. We have lawyers who are already doing this. We will see whether this decision was right or wrong, premature,” he said.

According to him, the protests in Hrebenne and Korchova will continue.

Krzysztof Mulawa, a member of the Polish Sejm who supports the carriers, also announced that he would appeal the decision to dissolve the protest.

“In an hour, the protesters will appeal the decision of the head of the Dorohusk Commune,” he wrote in the morning of December 12.
