On September 12, the Polish government will officially appeal to the European Commission to extend the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain beyond September 15. This was stated by the Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller on Polsat.

“We are close to extending it (the ban on grain imports – ed.), but even if this does not happen, we have a ready-made regulation that we will implement at the national level,” he said.

According to him, on Tuesday, the government will adopt a resolution calling on the European Commission to extend the ban and announce that if this does not happen, Poland will make such a decision on its own based on security concerns.

On September 15, the European Commission is to lift its moratorium on imports of Ukrainian corn, wheat, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds to Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.
