Poland lifts unilateral ban on exports of Ukrainian agricultural products
Poland has lifted its unilateral ban on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products after it, along with Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, reached a compromise with the European Commission on this issue.
This is stated in the relevant resolution published on the website of the official gazette of the Polish government.
“The order of the Minister of Development and Technology of April 21, 2023, banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine… shall be canceled. The resolution shall enter into force on the day of its publication,” the document says.
As a reminder, the agreement between the European Commission, on the one hand, and Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria, on the other, provides for the lifting of unilateral bans on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. Instead, the EU imposed unprecedented bans on imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed, sunflower, and sunflower oil. The transit of these goods is allowed.
