Poland considers imposing an embargo on Russian agricultural products
The Polish government intends to analyze the consequences of Latvia’s decision to ban imports of Russian and Belarusian agricultural products.
This was announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, The Gardian reports.
He admitted that these products also harm the Polish market.
“We will analyze the case of Latvia, and I assume that Poland may take a corresponding initiative,” he said.
Tusk noted that the EU should seriously focus on better regulation when it comes to imports of grain and food products from the east.
In addition, the Polish president said he plans to discuss this issue at a meeting with farmers.
