Paraguay has harvested half of its first soybean crop
According to DASAGRO, the first harvest of soybeans in Paraguay is very active. At the beginning of February, half of the planned work has already been completed, which significantly exceeds the annual average for this period (30%).
It is important to note that the average yield of the oilseed crop in the country is 3.5 tons per hectare, and the total harvest could reach 10.6 million tons.
Moreover, sowing of second crop soybeans and safrinha, a type of corn, is also underway. If the weather is favorable, Paraguay’s total soybean crop for 2023/24 could reach 11.5 million tons.
