Within the Agriculture Resilience Initiative (AGRI) – Ukraine launched by USAID in July 2022, USAID AGRO anticipates creating a marketing platform for domestic producers and processors of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds. The Platform is intended to establish and streamline communication and cooperation between Ukrainian agricultural producers and processors and international partners to help increase and expand Ukraine’s agricultural exports disrupted by Russia’s full-scale invasion. It will help facilitate sustainable linkages to international markets by creating productive partnerships and collaborations.
Under AGRI-Ukraine, USAID AGRO aims to preserve around 2 million tons of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds, contributing to global food security and poverty alleviation. For this, USAID AGRO has engaged 2,000 farmers, 27 enterprises dealing with cereals and oilseeds pre-sale preparation and storage, and 10 companies focusing on processing of cereals and oilseeds into value-added products.
International participants will not only be able to find reliable suppliers of high-quality raw or value-added agricultural products, but also build more complex horizontal collaborations, from contracted farming to producing under customers’ rather than the manufacturer’s own labels. USAID AGRO would welcome and support any type of cooperation.
This Forum is a great opportunity for you to build strong, long-lasting, and mutually beneficial relationships with Ukrainian partners.
