Occupants in Crimea harvested 0.5 million tons less early grain than last year
The grain harvest in the Russian-annexed Crimea has decreased by 0.5 million tons over the year. According to the results of the 2024 harvest, the region harvested 1.5 million tons of early grain, the so-called head of the region Sergey Aksyonov said, according to Russian media.
According to the occupation Ministry of Agriculture, 2.04 million tons of early grain crops were harvested in 2023. In May, the ministry reported that grain crops on a total area of 7.8 thousand hectares were affected by drought and other natural phenomena in four districts of Crimea.
A year ago, Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station to counter the Ukrainian counteroffensive, which was the main source of water in Crimea.
