Morocco may become a gateway to Africa for Ukrainian grain
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Foreign Affairs of Morocco Nasser Bourita.
“Ukrainian wheat is one of the traditional components of Moroccan bread. Today we have opened doors that lead to new opportunities for our countries, businesses and citizens,” Kuleba emphasized.
The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Morocco discussed food security in Africa. They emphasized the need for further smooth operation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which plays an important role in supplying food to global markets. In this context, the Moroccan side presented Morocco’s capabilities as a gateway to Africa.
Kuleba and Bourita agreed to hold talks between Ukraine and Morocco on trade facilitation to identify promising areas of economic cooperation, increase trade and revitalize direct business contacts, as well as negotiations on visa facilitation.
