More than 86,400 land agreements registered in Ukraine
As of January 27, 86,419 agreements on the purchase and sale of agricultural land were registered in Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, referring to the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.
It is noted that 5,447 notaries submitted applications for access to the State Land Cadastre. The total number of applications is 6,109. Of these, 5,412 applications were approved, whereas 696 were rejected, one is being processed.
As reported, Ukraine officially launched the land market on July 1. Until 2024, only Ukrainian citizens will be able to buy agricultural land – up to 100 hectares per person. The issue of selling land to people without Ukrainian citizenship will be decided only in a nationwide referendum.
