Moldova’s agricultural output drops 30% in 2022
Moldova’s agricultural output fell by 30% in 2022, mainly due to a significant decrease in plant production, the country’s statistical office said on Tuesday, citing preliminary data.
Plant production dropped by an annual 37%, while livestock production declined by 2.6% last year, the statistical office said in a press release.
In 2022, households registered a 5.9% annual increase in egg production, while the production of cattle and poultry inched down by 2.4%. Milk production by households dropped by 10.3%.
