Ministry of Agrarian Policy: Last year, Ukraine exported the entire crop it had planned
In 2022, Ukraine harvested 70 million tons and exported everything it planned to export, which is about 2/3 of the harvest.
This was announced by Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi on August 3.
This year, the harvest will be 6% less, because the farmers decided not to sow corn in that amount, but more sunflowers and soybeans (in terms of money, it may be the same, but the export costs are lower). The yield of corn per hectare is two to three times higher than that of soybeans and sunflowers.
Now the main problem for farmers is the price. In the next month, the government will work to ensure that farmers can sell their crops at a high price.
