“The grain infrastructure of international and Ukrainian traders and carriers Kernel, Viterra, CMA CGM Group suffered the most. This is a terrorist act not against Ukraine, but against the whole world. The food security of which is once again under threat. Humanity is being held hostage by a terrorist country that is blackmailing the world with hunger. The world must react firmly and according to the situation!” the Minister said.

He also emphasized that on July 18 and 19, the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, fired missiles at grain terminals and port infrastructure in the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, which were involved in the “grain initiative.”

According to the agency, the missile strike on the night of July 19 put a significant part of the grain export infrastructure of the port of Chornomorsk out of operation. According to experts, it will take at least a year to fully restore the affected facilities.

Mykola Solsky stated that the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, has once again proved that human values are an empty sound for it, and that its words are not trustworthy.

“If we cannot export food, the population of the poorest countries will be on the verge of survival! In addition, the economy of not only Ukraine, but also the world will suffer. The price of grain will rise, and not all countries will be able to afford to buy agricultural products, which means that the price of food will rise significantly: flour, cereals, meat,” emphasized Mykola Solsky.
