Maximum exports of Ukrainian corn are expected in April
Ukraine’s corn exports are currently at a fairly high level. In April, the exports grew, and in the first half of the month Ukraine shipped 2 mln tons of corn.
This was reported by Liza Malyshko, Director of Market Research at UkrAgroConsult, during the conference Black Sea Grain. Kyiv 2024 conference.
“There is every chance that the maximum level of corn exports for this season will be reached or even exceeded,” the analyst said.
According to her, Ukrainian corn has been exported mainly to the African-Asian market, at least for the last two months. And market analysts predict further growth of this trend.
“However, Ukrainian corn is now exported less to China than it was before the full-scale war. In this market, we have faced fierce competition from South American corn, and Brazil is now actively penetrating the Chinese market. In Egypt, we are more successful, but we also have to compete with Brazilian and American corn,” says Liza Malyshko.
