A.P. Moeller – Maersk, one of the world’s largest container companies, has resumed direct cargo booking to Ukraine.

According to the company’s press service, a new weekly barge service has been launched from the port of Constanta, Romania, to the port of Reni, Ukraine. This service is now fully operational on two routes – via Constanta/Danube Canal and the Black Sea – with a transit time of approximately 1.5 days.

“We continue to monitor the developments in Ukraine and implement solutions for our customers’ cargo within the framework of security. Logistics operations in and outside the country remain challenging,” the company said.

Bookings will be subject to capacity and proper documentation, which includes the legal adoption of the Ukraine regulation due to ongoing risks.

Earlier it was reported that Maersk decided to liquidate its Russian subsidiary in container transportation.
