Kyrgyzstan imposes a ban on the export of flour and wheat

The Cabinet of Ministers has imposed a ban on the export of flour and wheat from Kyrgyzstan, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.

The embargo will last for six months.

It is emphasized that this is necessary to ensure food security and stabilize market prices for food products.

There are problems with the transit of Russian wheat through Kazakhstan. Prices for Kazakh flour have also risen. The Ministry of Agriculture reported that the country has enough grain and there is no cause for concern. At the end of last week, it was decided to unbook 40,000 tons of wheat from the State Agency for Food Safety and Food Security.
