kraine still has about 10 million tons of grain for export
Ukraine can still export about 10 million tons of transitional grain residues from previous seasons.
This was stated by Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, during a briefing at the Ukraine-Union Media Center.
“The most important task for the next two months is to export the transitional residues that are still available in Ukraine. According to preliminary estimates, it is about 10 million tons (of grain),” he said.
Marchuk noted that it is very important for Ukrainian producers that the Grain Corridor and the Solidarity Roads, through which Ukraine exports food to the EU, continue to operate in the next season.
According to him, in the new season, which will begin in July this year, Ukraine will be able to potentially export about 30 million tons of grain.
As reported earlier, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, in the current marketing year (from July 2022 to May 17, 2023), Ukraine exported 43.952 million tons of grains and legumes, including 15.066 million tons of wheat, 2.598 million tons of barley and 25.96 million tons of corn.
