Kazakhstan. Wheat exports the highest since 2011/12
Kazakh exporters sold to foreign markets 499 KMT in June (-1% from May, +23% from June 2019/20). This brought the total export volume so far this season to 4.9 MMT (+27% y-o-y), the highest since MY 2011/12, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The monthly volume purchased by Iran in June (78 KMT) was the largest this season, with its imports in the first ten months of MY 2020/21 totaling 272.2 KMT, or 118 times as much as in the entire 2019/20 season.
The major buyers also stepped up imports compared to last season: Uzbekistan (+45%), Afghanistan (+45%), China (+17%).
The exceptions are the following importers: the EU (-21% y-o-y) and Tajikistan (-0.3%).
